A few months ago I approached the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation with the idea of “Knit for the Cure”. It is so easy to contribute to a cause that is so close to our hearts when we are doing what we love. Some walk, some run, so I thought, well, why not knit.
I am Carol Tomany and my company is Infiknit. I distribute knitting supplies to business owners, so I am in touch with people who knit everyday and yes I, as many of my colleagues and their customers, do knit every day.
I was thrilled when the Foundation agreed to let me organize “Knit for the Cure”. Here was a chance for designers, manufacturers, business owners and knitters to do what they love and to create either opportunities and \or finished products to raise funds for a very worthy cause.
Get involved. Watch for events from coast to coast and throughout the year. Check back here often. So many of us have been touched by this disease—it’s time to sit down and get involved
